We finished clearing the fence a couple days ago. I think it took us about 8 trips and at least 20 hours to do it. You may be wondering, why did it take so long? Are we using butter knifes to cut the branches? Well, this is the first time the tree line has been cut back since the fence was put up. How long ago was that? Oh, a little over 20 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So as you can imagine, trees can grow a lot over 20 years.
The good thing about all of this is that Linda and I are a lot stronger in our upper bodies. We have come to this conclusion because we could snip much thicker branches at the end of the task than when we started. So don’t be surprised when, the next time you see me, I am able to open a bag of chips without getting scissors!
