First off, I am in no immediate danger. It is the side effects of Ike that will most likely pose problems for me.
Harper, the town I am staying in, is about 100 miles north of San Antonio and 100 miles west of Austin. Basically, smack in the middle of the state. Ike looks to be going up the eastern side of the state so we should not get hit with the hurricane storms directly. But if you hear of any problems occurring in the one of these two cities, I will most likely be effected too. The part that we are going to have to worry about is tornadoes that may be caused when Ike hits the storms that are currently in the western part of the state.
I am off to pack some bags and make sure the cellar is up to par. Wish me luck…
dude get some whiskey and throw it into the storm and tell the storm to bring it on that is what i would do.
